VRI is Going Green!
Goal: The goal of V-Green is to continually review the way we do business and find ways to reduce the negative impact our business has on the environment.
What we are doing:
- Co-mingle recycling at corporate headquarters
- Started E-waste recycling program to keep our PERS and Medical Dispenser units out of landfills
- Encouraging Car pooling
- Eliminate Styrofoam and provide reusable drinking mugs to all employees
- Switch to recyclable paper, plates, and dinnerware
- Street clean up at company headquarters
- Tree planting
- Giving CFL light bulbs to employees for home use
- Turning off computers and lights when not being used
April 2009 Events (Check back at the end of April for pictures from these events)
- April 6th-10th: – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
- We will be implementing our recycling program and our e-waste recycling program. We will be switching to all recyclable dinner ware in our kitchen and passing out recyclable plastic mugs to all employees for their coffee and water.
- April 13th-17th: – Let's Ride Together
- VRI is focusing on alternative means of transportation and car pooling. We are inviting employees to car pool to work and enter a drawing to win $50 gas gift card.
- April 20th-24th: – Earth Day
- VRI employees are volunteering to clean up the litter off Progress Rd. in West Carrollton. We will also be planting a tree at our headquarters.
- April 27th-May 1st: – Change a Light, Change the World
- We are giving our employees CFL light bulbs so that they can change their lights at home.
